Ubiquitin enzymes in the regulation of immune responses

چکیده
Ubiquitination plays a central role in the regulation of various biological functions including immune responses. Ubiquitination is induced by a cascade of enzymatic reactions by E1 ubiquitin activating enzyme, E2 ubiquitin conjugating enzyme, and E3 ubiquitin ligase, and reversed by deubiquitinases. Depending on the enzymes, specific linkage types of ubiquitin chains are generated or hydrolyzed. Because different linkage types of ubiquitin chains control the fate of the substrate, understanding the regulatory mechanisms of ubiquitin enzymes is central. In this review, we highlight the most recent knowledge of ubiquitination in the immune signaling cascades including the T cell and B cell signaling cascades as well as the TNF signaling cascade regulated by various ubiquitin enzymes. Furthermore, we highlight the TRIM ubiquitin ligase family as one of the examples of critical E3 ubiquitin ligases in the regulation of immune responses.

Beneficial effects of a sodium butyrate source on growth performance, intestinal bacterial communities, digestive enzymes, immune responses and disease resistance in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)
The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of dietary sodium butyrate on growth performance, intestinal microbiota, digestive enzymes, humoral immune responses and resistance against Aeromonas hydrophila in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) juveniles (39.5±1.12 g). The fish were fed diets supplemented with 0 (SB0), 1.5 (SB1.5), 2.5 (SB2.5) and 5 (SB5.0) g/kg sodium butyrate f...
متن کاملE3 ubiquitin-ligases and their target proteins during the regulation of plant innate immunity
Reversible protein ubiquitination plays a crucial role during the regulation of plant immune signaling. E3 ubiquitin (Ub)-ligase enzymes, which are classified into different families depending on their structural and functional features, confer the specificity of substrate and are the best characterized components of the ubiquitination cascade. E3 Ub-ligases of different families have been show...
متن کاملA Review of The Role of The Microbiome on Immune Responses and Its Association With Cystic Fibrosis
In recent years, the microbiome has been recognized as a key regulator of immune responses. Evidence suggests that changes in the microbiome can lead to chronic disease and even exacerbation of the disease. Impairment of innate immunity resulting from microbial incompatibility may worsen host susceptibility to infection and exacerbate chronic lung diseases. Specific microbes play a key role in ...

This study was performed to determine the severity of hormonal changes and the immune system of oriental river prawn (Macrobrachium nipponense) in the face of thermal stresses (heat and cold). For this purpose, 80 pieces of prawn with an average weight of 1.5 ±0.3g were prepared from Anzali wetland and in the laboratory after a rest period, under thermal stresses (from 15 ° C to 22 ° C) and col...
متن کاملUbiquitylation as a Rheostat for TCR Signaling: From Targeted Approaches Toward Global Profiling
T cell receptor (TCR) signaling must be precisely tuned to limit collateral damage and prevent reactivity to self, while still allowing robust protective immune responses that control pathogen invasion. One process that can be used to promote, modify, or terminate TCR signaling is ubiquitylation. During ubiquitylation, ubiquitin is covalently attached to target proteins through a multistep proc...
